DID YOU KNOW...

Board Members and Coaches

Every board member and coach is a volunteer. We dedicate our time, energy, and our PIRATE PRIDE to our cheerleaders and community. Our coaches are trained and safety is our top priority.

Maureen Parrett Cheer Scholarship

We reward two $500 scholarships to graduating highschool cheerleaders each year. This scholarship was created in memory of our former cheer coach, Maureen Parrett.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Registration

Registration is $250 plus fees. This includes the use of PCC uniform, shell, skirt, and gameday bow (the bow is yours to keep). The uniform gets turned in at the end of the season. We are a nonprofit organization. There are many expenses to run the league and all money is used appropriately to make the league successful.

Additional Expenses

There are required items that you must purchase at the uniform fitting. These items include: poms $28, spanks $18, and crop $30. THESE PRICES ARE APPROXIMATE AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. All cheerleaders are required to have solid white cheer shoes, which need to be purchased prior to camp. There are additional optional items: backpack $50 and warm up jacket $120. Any of these items purchased are yours to keep for seasons to come.

***Grand total: $246, if all items are purchased.

A $20 per cheerleader team fee will be collected at uniform fittings for shared expenses across the squad, such as Homecoming float and parade accessories.

PCC Camp

Camp is offered as an optional experience and requires a separate registration. This registration fee includes a shirt and 4 nights of material taught by PCC Coaches. Attendance is required for those participating in our annual Pep Rally.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Practice Schedules

Kindergarten and 1st grade will practice one day a week. 2nd-6th grade will practice 2 days a week. Participation at practice is extremely important and is required. We cannot gaurantee your cheerleader will be included in a stunt or cheer if practice is missed. Our coaches are trained and safety ALWAYS comes first.

**WE WILL NOT HAVE PRACTICE SCHEDULES UNTIL LATE AUGUST. The district allows us to use the buildings but we cannot make those requests until August. All practices are held in Platte City.

Games

We cheer for PCYFL, and follow their game schedules. We like each cheerleader to cheer for their grade level. Games are every Saturday and participation is required. Schedules will be posted once released to PCYFL. We travel as far north as Savannah, MO and as far south as Olathe, KS for games.
